“Bill”—The Movie

In the summer of 2018, the Lapan College Club, a community program that helps low-income students attend university, adapted my family’s story of perseverance into a play titled Bill. After schools became interested in showing the play to their students, the Lapan College Club worked with a professional film crew to turn the play into a theatrical movie. “Bill”—The Movie premiered at the Fox Tucson Theatre on January 14, 2020 to a house packed with students from across the City of Tucson.
